The OncoAlert Network

A non-profit network of oncologists, nurses, researchers and patient advocates from around the world. For colleagues, by colleagues.

Who we are

A worldwide network built on the shared goal of ending cancer.

OncoAlert brings together medical, radiation and surgical oncologists, cancer scientists, oncology nurses and patient advocates from across the globe. With roots in the United States and Europe, the network shares one mission: advancing oncology education and improving outcomes for every patient, everywhere.

OncoAlert is a non-profit organization and has no conflict of interest.

Partners and funding

OncoAlert works with partners and collaborators, and our funding comes from working together with them.

Partners and collaborators

Unrestricted educational grants
Up to two a year. In 2026: Sanofi and Roche.
The OncoAlert Colloquium
Unrestricted Non-promotional educational support (all supported equally). In 2026: AstraZeneca, Nuvalent, Pfizer and Roche. Their support keeps the Colloquium’s videos available from February to August, and covers promotion, editing and every cost of making and promoting them.
The content
As with every unrestricted educational grant, all content is 100% independent: the experts and OncoAlert create it, with no influence from the supporters.

Our aims

  • Promote quality oncology education to reduce global disparities in cancer care.

Through the Colloquium and the Oncology Here & Now podcast.

  • Amplify the voices, needs and concerns of patient advocates worldwide.

Patient advocates are part of the faculty and lead their own sessions at the Colloquium.

  • Inform and disseminate the latest advances and research in oncology.

Through News, The OncoAlert Newsletter and our highlights from the major congresses, such as ESMO 2025.

Our story

  1. Founded on goodwill

OncoAlert began as a voluntary, unfunded network: no money was exchanged or accepted. Every contribution from the faculty was given freely, and all operating costs were personally financed by Gilbert Morgan, MD, its founder.

Gilbert Morgan, MDFounder and Executive Director

  2. A non-profit NGO

To sustain its growing work, OncoAlert became a non-governmental organization, funding its activities, fellowships and initiatives through educational grants and collaborator support. Its mission and mandates did not change. Dr. Morgan became its full-time Executive Director, leading the network and its flagship programs, among them the Catalyst Fellowships.
